F1 Editor

In his current role of F1 Digital Editor, Lewis is responsible for leading Crash.net's coverage of the F1 world championship, a position he has held since February 2020.

Lewis earned promotion to Crash.net's lead F1 writer after just two years of working for the company, having originally joined the team February 2018.

In his time at Crash.net, Lewis has produced thousands of news articles, features and reports, as well as carrying out interviews with F1 drivers and attending regular grands prix events.

Lewis’ passion for F1 began when he became hooked watching the sport for the first time in 2007 in the era Lewis Hamilton rose to fame. He has watched every race since and while studying at school, decided he wanted to pursue a career in journalism.

Before he had even graduated with a first-class BA honours degree in Sports Journalism at the University of Huddersfield in 2016, Lewis had begun his journey to becoming an F1 journalist.

After gaining multiple motorsport-based work experience opportunities throughout his degree, Lewis got his first major break by joining ESPN as a freelancer on the F1 desk. Lewis covered the 2016 and 2017 seasons during his time with ESPN, before moving into his first full-time position at Crash.net.

Lewis made his debut as an accredited FIA journalist in the F1 paddock at the 2018 Spanish Grand Prix and has gone on to cover several races as the man on the ground for Crash.net.
