Mick Schumacher F1 Career (2021-2022)
With Haas deciding not to develop its 2021 car as it pinned its hopes on 2022, Schumacher's maiden year in F1 was always going to be difficult.
Despite Haas' lack of performance, Schumacher managed to progress into Q2 on two occasions, while his best race finish was 12th, even defending from eventual world champion Max Verstappen for a handful of laps.
A more competitive Haas car in 2022 should give Schumacher the chance to showcase his talents.
Even though Haas were more competitive in 2022, Schumacher was unable to make the most of it.
A run of high-profile crashes, costing Haas millions, put the German under immense pressure to deliver.
He came away with points finishes in Austria and Britain, but it wasn't enough to secure a third year with the team.
Schumacher will be eyeing a reserve / third driver role for 2023 ahead of a potential return.
